Child Welfare
Trauma Training
Toolkit

What is the child welfare trauma training toolkit (CWTTT)?

The CWTTT training series is grounded in concepts of adult learning theory and deep appreciation of the need to transfer classroom learning to the field. With that goal in mind, the CWTTT provides two foundational trainings, the Trauma 101 and Trauma-Informed Child Welfare 101, to all-levels of the workforce to create a shared understanding of trauma and its impact. Following the foundational training, supervisors and caseworkers are provided with specific courses focused on practical skills and strategies. Lastly, supervisors engage in four months of consultation to support caseworkers in their efforts to employ skills and strategies to their daily work with children, youth, and families.
Want to download the toolkit? Please visit the NCTSN's Learning Center. You will need to create a free login to access the CWTTT. It is located under the Service Systems tab.
